 Last
 week we have a plane to visit river side for a landscape photography 
assignment. I was accompanied with one of my dearest friend Dr. Javed 
who is himself a good landscape photographer. It was a pleasant and 
November evening and light was awesome. We just want to have some 
marvelous pictures of the sunset and sunrise in the morning. We decided 
to spend a night at the river and arranged a tent for this purpose. 
Other preparations like the warm clothes and stove for cooking was also 
ready. We prepared some food at home to have a dinner and breakfast. We 
were at the river Ravi at Mari Pattan area Pakistan at about four o 
clock. Like starts getting golden tinge and temperature of light turns 
to be perfect for the sensor of the camera. We were here for landscape 
photography and environment was perfect for some excellent landscape 
pictures. Nature lover need not much than the good light. We mounted our
 cameras on the tripods, check our cards, insert these in the cameras 
and starts shooting in some of the best situation for a landscape 
photographer.     </div>

From predawn to first light and in the the 
golden hours of both morning and evening light becomes  ideal for 
landscape photography. Each minute gives some new tones and shades of 
colors. Shadows get more drawn out and 3d impact gives the pictures a

 Some clouds were present on the sky and these clouds were adding some
 drama in the sky which is an essential element for a landscape 
picture.There were some reed plants with with a big bloom of whit 
flowers. These plants looks amazing in the back lit condition and giving
 my pictures a glow which definitely would attract the viewers.<br />

Shooting In The Golden Hour </h3>

As 
the sun started setting the light turned yellow and red. Clouds got a 
crimson and golden tinge and started glowing. That was the perfect time 
for shooting some stunning landscape pictures. River Ravi have a 
receding water in the winter months and we had our camp at a temporary 
lake formed near the river in the season of flood. water was cool and 
calm and got the colors of light as it was transparent. </div>
A small boat appears in the seen and added a strong element in the landscape photography. <br />
It
 was a wonderful experience and a great gift for a landscape 
photographer. In the last minutes the sun turns into a large golden 
disc.  It was the peak time for a nature photographer and a pure delight to watch. We continue shooting till the last glimpses of the sun. Then there was a time for long exposure photography. Landscape photography with long exposures is a popular item now in commercial market of photography too. It gives a landscape picture some mystic touch with smooth tones and texture. <br />

Landscape Photography At Sunrise  </h3>

Night was pleasant and a cool bit. We slept with comfort and wake up well before the sunrise. We prepared for the morning photography by setting our tripods at proper place and taking our positions there. Sun rose with a majestic beauty in the mist and illuminated the whole scene. Every thing from straw to trees bathed in the golden light. We have a lot of shooting and pictures in our bag. The area became heaven for landscape photography. </div>

The smaller the ISO, the less sensitive censor will be. So more light and and more exposure time is required. High ISO value is used in reverse and sensor become more sensitive to light. So in low light conditions hi ISO value works. There is a special button on every DSLR and also one can change it from the main menu. Taking pictures in outdoor at dusk and dawn or dimly lit rooms is only possible at hi ISO.<br />
The negative point of pushing ISO upwards is that it adversely effect the image quality and make it highly grainy or noisy. Low ISO results in more punchy and bright colors with better sharpness. For night shot one should use 400 to 600 ISO as it would record details of the stars in a better way.<br />

Low light conditions like predawn or just after sunset are the best for creative landscapes. Low light is tough to capture but with more techniques and good quality lens on can produce some stunning pictures. Most photographers think that it is impossible to shoot in hours just after sunrise and sunset. But this is not true. There are three myths about that time -<br />
1) Light is not enough<br />
2) One needs a very costly lens<br />
3) Exposure is impossible to handle or needs a very special training<br />
To  go out in the night is also a very tough decision as your family and fear of safety prevent you  from doing that.<br />
All these points are not fully valid. There is always enough light for shooting. you just need to know how to shoot. Second, one can have good quality pictures with kit lens knowing how to use it. These valleys are situated in the remote district of Chiral in Pakistan.There are three festivals in kalash but Chilum Joosh is most popular. Kalsha people gather in the morning and start dancing in circle. <a href="http://www.razaqvance.com/kalash-dancers/" target="_blank">Kalash dancers</a> are famous in skill and rhythm. Mostly females dance and male members beat the drums. Drum beating starts very early in the morning before the sun rise. People starts gathering on the dancing shelves made for dance in the front of each prominent house and  at least few in each village. Dance starts and first joiners are the children. Then female dancer of each area join the group. It is a worth seeing show when with the rising of sun some brightly clad women of ancient culture start dancing like a fairy. There are three kalash valleys known as Bomburit, Ramboor and Brir. The festival starts in all valleys at alternate dates and inhabitants of one valley attend the dancing in the other valley.<br />
